Athletics are an important extension of the educational program and a privilege afforded to our students by the East Lycoming School District. ELSD students have diverse and equitable opportunities to earn memberships on teams and become well-rounded, accomplished student-athletes who respect and take pride in themselves, their team, the school, and the community. Student-athletes are required to meet established standards in the areas of school attendance, academic achievement, and proper conduct.

The East Lycoming School District offers the following athletic programs.

All ELSD students in good academic standing are eligible to participate on the ELSD PIAA athletic teams. The following outlines the required TWO steps for registering a student for a ELSD athletic team:

Step 1: Get Sports Physical

All student-athletes must have a sports physical and the PIAA CIPPE form [Section 6] completed by their clinical provider. Click here to download this form. 

You only need to download sections 5 and 6. The physical must be completed after May 1st for fall sports participation and will be effective, regardless of when it is performed during the school year until, the next May 31st. You will be required to upload your signed physical form in the registration portal.

Physical times will be available at Family Practice Center, PC, 246 South Main Street, Hughesville, PA 17737 on 06/20/26 with appointments starting at 8:00AM. [Physical Schedule to be Posted Soon] Click here to schedule an appointment.

**For those who have not played a sport, or signing up for a fall sport, you will need to obtain a physical and upload it in the portal for the 2026-27 school year.

***For those who already competed in a sport during the 2026-27 school year, you will only need to complete the recertification section in the portal. Please make sure you click all the sports you completed in during this school year.

****Registration much be completed before the date listed above in order to begin practicing with your team. 

Step 2: Complete Registration Using Arbiter

ELSD uses a convenient online sports team registration called Arbiter Registration for Families/Students. Arbiter is used by many area school districts and PHAC schools for the management of their athletics registration forms.

Already have a Student/Parent Account? Click here to navigate to the Arbiter Login and begin the registration process of your ELSD student with the following in mind:

• Choose “Hughesville” for your student's “school”
• Choose your student's HIGH SCHOOL graduation year

• Be Sure to have the following handy:
  • PDF of student's PIAA physical form [Section 6], signed by a clinician
  • Insurance card information
  • Contact info about emergency contacts
  • Contact info for family/student's doctor

• Remember: For the registration to be completed, online forms need to be completed by both the PARENT and STUDENT.
